Overview

Changing an email password is a simple but important task when an employee leaves, a device is lost, or you want to improve security on an older mailbox.

General Steps

1. Log in to cPanel
2. Open the Email Accounts section
3. Find the mailbox you want to update
4. Choose the password option
5. Set a strong new password and save it

After Changing the Password

• Update the password on Outlook, phones, tablets, and other devices
• Test sending and receiving email
• Remove access from devices that should no longer connect
